GotThat Terms of Service

This agreement is between you and JBC NETWORK K.K. ("we", "us") and governs your use of GotThat (the "Service").
By starting to use GotThat, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. What the Service does
GotThat provides transcription, translation, speaker separation and summaries of recordings. These features rely on third-party AI services, and results are not guaranteed to be accurate.

2. Accounts
• You can use the app without registering. In guest mode your data is stored only on this device; changing phones or uninstalling loses it permanently, and we cannot recover it.
• After registering, keep your account secure. You may not transfer or share it, and you are responsible for everything done under it.
• You can delete your account at any time under "Me → Delete account". Deletion immediately and permanently removes the account, cloud recordings and billing history; any remaining credit is forfeited and not refunded. You may register again, but the new-user free credit will not be granted a second time.

3. Credit and billing
• You are charged by time used. Recording transcription and live translation draw on the same credit.
• Free credit is granted per device — one grant per device.
• Purchased credit does not expire. Except where required by law, it is non-refundable.
• A day pass is valid only on the day it is purchased.

4. What you may not do
• Record or upload unlawful content.
• Infringe anyone's privacy, likeness, copyright or other rights.
• Circumvent credit limits by technical means, claim free credit repeatedly, or falsify your identity.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape or otherwise access the Service without authorisation.
• Resell the Service or use it as the basis of a competing service.
If you breach these rules we may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice, and purchased credit will not be refunded.

5. Legality of recording (please read)
Recording other people may be restricted by law. You are responsible for ensuring that your recording is lawful.
• In many countries and regions, recording a conversation without the other party's consent may be unlawful.
• Before recording meetings, business negotiations, medical or legal consultations, you should inform everyone present and obtain their consent.
Any dispute, claim or liability arising from your recording is yours alone to bear.

6. Ownership of content
• You own the audio you record and the text generated from it. We claim no ownership.
• You grant us permission to process, transmit and store that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you (including sending it to third-party providers — see the Privacy Policy).
• We do not use your content to train our own models, and we do not use it for advertising.

7. Disclaimers (please read)
• Transcription, translation, speaker separation and summaries are AI-generated and can be wrong — especially in noisy environments, when several people speak at once, with strong accents, or with specialist terminology.
• Do not rely on the Service's output as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial or other significant decisions. For anything important, check the original recording yourself.
• The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that data will never be lost. Export and back up anything important.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you actually paid in the preceding 12 months.
• If the law where you live does not allow these limitations, they apply only to the minimum extent that law permits.

8. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms we will notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it. For significant changes such as how billing works, we will ask for your consent again.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. If a dispute arises, the parties shall first seek to resolve it in good faith; failing that, the Osaka District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.

10. Ending the Service
If we discontinue the Service, we will give 30 days' notice in the app.
On termination, unused paid credit is refunded in proportion to the unused amount (consumed credit is not refunded). Refunds are made through the original payment method.
